Since 4500 years back, Ayurveda has been using in India for a very reliable medical treatment. The term 'Ayurveda' is derived from the Sanskrit word 'Ayur' meaning 'life' and' Veda' meaning 'knowledge'and in combine Ayurveda means'The science or knowledge of life'. Ayurveda is an ancient Indian therapeutic procedure which was promulgated during Vedic era (2500-1500 BC) and now it is widely being use as an alternative medicine. ayurvadaAyurveda is specialized therapeutic treatments to maintain good health which are directed towards curing, not just the symptoms of the ailment, but the basic health troubles or abnormalities.

As per the Ayurvedic philosophy, health is a state of equilibrium between the body, mind and consciousness. Ayurveda recognizes the three doshas (abnormalities) within the body such as Vata, Pitta and Kapha. It is considered in Ayurveda that when seven dhatus (tissues), blood,plasma,fat,muscle,bone, nerve,and reproductive; three malas(wastes),feces, urine and sweat; and agni, the energy of metabolism, any of these suffers with condition of disharmony and imbalance then disease emerges as an evil in human body.The source cause of abnormalities,or disease,is an exasperation of dosha,vata-pitta-kapha.

Ayurveda treats disease and physical ailments that appears in human body due to the above three doshas, or the 'tridosha' system as it is otherwise known.Treatment is therefore performed for rebalancing the health system and reestablishing harmony in the body.This ultimate objective can be achieved through various methods which include the use of Ayurvedic herb,the administration of unique forms of massage,consumption of a specific diet and usual exposure to certain elements of nature.Indian Ayurvedic manuals were written by Charaka, Sushruta,and Vagbhata that give detailed reports of the various curative procedures.ayurvadaCharaka listed 500 remedies and Sushruta over 700 vegetable medicines (Herbs).The philosophies of Ayurvedic treatment is purifying the body and deeply soothing and relaxing the health system.Mostly these purifications are done by performing the panchakarma which are five types of treatment such as -Vamana (Use of Emetics),Virecana (Use of laxatives), Basti (Medicated Enema), Nasya (Nasal administration) and Rakta Mokshana (Blood letting).These treatments are performed in chronic and deep rooted diseases.This therapeutic procedure is Ayurvadic curative option that offers healthier fitness including improved circulation; relief from pain, stress and insomnia; increased flexibility and improved athletic performance.

Usually the medicines used for Ayurvadic treatments are made of herbs, minerals, metals and elements of animal origin.All the prescribed remedies are totally in combination with nature.It is also believed that wrongly use of herbs, metals and minerals can cause harms like toxicity
